We started this studio because we almost lost our daughter. In that hospital waiting room, we learned what it feels like to be in the worst chapter of a family's life — and what a portrait would have meant to us if that chapter had ended differently.

That's the lens we look at every donation through. What we wished we had then is what we try to give now.

A mentor's father once said: if you serve people, you'll never lack for business. We took it as the way to run a studio.

We donate the work itself — a full portrait session at our Roseville studio plus a fine art print to take home. Local non-profits then auction or sell the gift at their fundraisers, turning what we make into funding for the work they do.

Two things happen at once: a non-profit raises money for their cause, and a family ends up at our studio through a cause they cared enough to support.
